Paul is a legal columnist, writing about estate planning (wills, trusts, getting affairs in order), incapacity planning (powers of attorney, representation agreements), estate administration (probate) and many other end-of-life topics. Paul and Terri Hergott pride themselves in a strong community presence. Hergott Law was presented by the Greater Westside Board of Trade in 2025 with the Community & Public Service key business award.

They have participated in (Kelowna’s Swinging with the Stars hospice fundraiser in 2011) and contributed to numerous fundraising events. In 2016, Paul and Terri founded and have continued to sponsor annual Arts and Entertainment awards presented by the Greater Westside Board of Trade and the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce. Hergott Law is also an annual sponsor of the West Kelowna Youth Ambassador Program.

Over the years, Paul and his team have been honoured by the Greater Westside Board of Trade with various other key business awards including Platinum Service Provider, Business of the Year, Customer Service (twice), Quality Excellence and Businessperson of the Year. In 2019, Hergott Law was honoured to receive the business excellence award of Mid-Sized Business of the Year from the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce.
